Mash faces Abel. Abel continues to preach about how the weak should be eliminated, including people who can’t use magic. Mash disagrees, and Abel begins to attack. Mash counterattacks by treating Abel’s dolls like bowling pins. He talks back to Abel and asks about Lemon. Abel is taking away the students’ magic power to increase his own. Mash tells Abel if he wins, he has to say where Lemon is. Abel then uses Finn as a puppet to fight Mash.
Mash manages to counter without hurting Finn. He uses his gold coin to cut off Finn’s puppet strings. Abel places puppet strings on Mash, but Mash sets himself free and hits Abel in the face. Abel turns Mash into a puppet and accidentally takes a cream puff from Mash’s robe. Mash turns back to normal after a spinal reflex reaction, grabbing the cream puff back. Abel activates his most powerful ranged spell.
However, Mash avoids the puppet transformation by tearing the strings. He slams Abel to the ground, and Abel remembers his kind mother, who was stabbed after helping the poor. He releases all the puppet students, acknowledging his loss. Elsewhere, Rayne catches a member of Innocent Zero sneaking. The member escapes, and Rayne has to face Jon Pierre.
