Hell’s Paradise Episode 5 Recap
Sagiri wakes up after getting poisoned by the butterflies’ scales. Their group discusses what they all know so far about the island. Gabimaru scouted the island while looking for ingredients and noticed there were a lot of flowers resembling the samurai who turned into bodies with flowers. He adds that he didn’t see anything that resembles the Elixir of Life. Meanwhile, Senta says they should focus on the mysterious statues. After that, Genji tells Sagiri that she should return to the mainland, and he’ll be Gabimaru’s executioner instead. Sagiri refuses, but Genji thinks she’s too weak for the job.
Meanwhile, Yamada Asaemon Tenza and Nurugai try to escape the island by boat. However, they arrive at an area filled with shipwrecked samurai ships. More mysterious monsters appear, and Tenza does his best to fend them off. Meanwhile, Nurugai is contemplating wanting to stay alive, knowing she brought about the end of the Sanka bloodline. Tenza doesn’t give up on her. They both fight off the monsters and make it back to the island.
Elsewhere, Senta tells Sagiri he half-agrees with Genji, but he wants her to be there in case they need to stop Gabimaru. Gabimaru thanks Sagiri for calming him down and tells her she’s stronger than him. Genji continues to insist that Sagiri should return to the mainland and fulfill her duties to the clan as a woman. Sagiri declines because she wants to be seen as a samurai. Suddenly, someone emerges from behind and attacks Genji.
