Ubisoft unveils Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game Complete Edition!
Today marks the arrival of Ubisoft’s game conference Ubi Forward and fans were treated to one of the most exciting announcements yet with the publisher revealing Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game would be getting a complete edition remaster for modern platforms! The announcement trailer and Bryan Lee O’Malley’s announcement post can be viewed below!
The game was first released in August 2010, tying in with the release of the Edgar Wright-helmed film adaptation while taking its inspiration and source form O’Malley’s comic book series of the same name and received mostly positive reviews from critics and players alike. It would receive two downloadable content packs that included adding Knives Chau and Wallace Wells as playable characters as well as additional game modes Battle Royal and Dodge Ball, but fans have been crying out for a new version of the title since the game and its DLC were delisted from the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network in 2014.
As the film neared its 10th anniversary, Wright and O’Malley took to Twitter to begin teasing a possible new game or project as the comic creator revealed he had been contacted by Ubisoft while Wright showed support for re-releasing it and after last-minute teases this morning, the confirmation has arrived for fans.
The Complete Edition, which includes the Knives Chau and Wallace Wells DLC, will be available Holiday 2020 on PlayStation 4, the Xbox One family of devices, Nintendo Switch system, Stadia, Windows PC and UPLAY+!
