Sucker Punch Productions unveils Ghost of Tsushima: Legends!
Sucker Punch Productions has unveiled a first-look trailer at the forthcoming Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, a free co-op multiplayer expansion of the action-adventure title set to debut later this fall. The announcement trailer can be viewed in the player below!
Inspired by Japanese folk tales and mythology, Legends offers players the option to choose from one of four classes of characters — Samurai, Hunter, Ronin or Assassin — s they play with friends locally or via online matchmaking in a series of two-player story missions or four-player wave-based survival missions.
Sucker Punch Productions’ action-adventure title takes place in 1274. Samurai warriors are the legendary defenders of Japan, until the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the island of Tsushima, wreaking havoc and conquering the local population. As one of the last surviving samurai, you rise from the ashes to fight back. But honorable tactics won’t lead you to victory. You must move beyond your samurai traditions to forge a new way of fighting—the way of the Ghost—as you wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Japan.
With Tsushima on the brink of destruction, Jin Sakai must sacrifice everything to defeat the ruthless Mongol invaders and protect what’s left of his home and people. As he embarks on an epic adventure for the freedom of Tsushima, he is forced to set aside samurai traditions and become a new kind of warrior.
Along with the launch edition, player’s can also order the Special Edition, which includes a SteelBook case plus a voucher for an in-game Hero of Tsushima mask and sword skin, Charm of Hachiman’s Favor, one technique point, the Director’s Commentary, and the digital mini art book.
The Collector’s Edition comes with a replica mask, a re-creation of one you’ll wear in the game, and it’s heavy (made from polyresin). It’s not meant to be worn, but it includes an individually-numbered display stand so you can keep it on a shelf to impress your friends or terrify your enemies.
