Rainbow Six Siege Won’t Feature a Campaign Mode

Rainbow Six Siege will feature no campaign mode

Following the reveal that Call of Duty: Black Ops III was dumping the campaign mode for PS3 and Xbox 360, it’s been confirmed that Ubisoft’s upcoming shooter Rainbow Six Siege won’t feature a campaign mode in any of its versions.

“There is no story mode per se,” the game’s art director Scott Mitchell said at EGX 2015 (via PCGamesN). “You go through training, where you get to experience different operators and their devices. You can play against enemy AI in co-op through all the maps. You can customise matches, so that’s what we’re offering on the single-player side of things…It’s a pretty good training ground, and on top or that you’re unlocking the same content as you would playing in PvP. You’re still gaining Stars, Renown Points, and new operatives”

The closed beta for Rainbow Six Siege is currently underway, and you can check out an extended gameplay tips video below!

Inspired by the reality of counter terrorist operatives across the world, Rainbow Six Siege invites players to master the art of destruction. Intense close quarters confrontations, high lethality, tactics, team play, and explosive action are at the center of the experience. Breach enemy strongholds with new tactical measures or fortify your own with defensive resources in both sides of sieges, a brand-new mode of assault combat for the “Rainbow Six” series. Change the landscape of your assault with an unprecedented level of environmental destruction. Walls can be shattered, and floors and ceilings can be breached. Mastering the element of destruction is the key to victory.

Rainbox Six Siege will debut on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on December 1. You can pre-order the game by clicking here.
