Purple Lamp and THQ Nordic announced on Monday that SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake would be getting PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions of the game that launched earlier this year.
When does SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake come out on PS5?
After arriving in January for previous-gen consoles, The Cosmic Shake will now arrive on current-gen hardware. Set to arrive on October 16, 2023, the new version of the game will feature a handful of big updates, including a photo mode and two new costumes.
The photo mode in the game will allow players to enhance their photos with 19 new filters, while the costumes “King Doubloon” and “Plush Gary” will let them dress up some of the characters in the game.
The PlayStation 5 version of The Cosmic Shake will also include DualSense support, with the adaptive triggers working when using reef blower and swinging hook commands, and the audio output working while picking up items.
Originally released in January 2023, The Cosmic Shake is a 3D platformer. Players play as SpongeBob himself and travel throughout different worlds with the help of Patrick to collect various items and take down enemies.
