Jurassic World Evolution 2's Dominion-Inspired DLC Announced

Jurassic World Evolution 2’s Dominion-Inspired DLC Announced

Jurassic World Evolution 2 has pulled from various films in the series in a few ways and now its latest DLC, Dominion Malta, is going to take even more cues from Jurassic World Dominion. Dominion Malta is launching on December 8 on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S for $19.99.

Dominion Malta takes place before Jurassic World Dominion and has dinosaurs from the film including the Allosaurus, Dimorphodon, Iguanodon, and Carnotaurus, all of which have Dominion variant skins. The Iguanodon was singled out as getting 12 new colors and seven skins, but it’s not clear if the other three will get the same treatment.

The Lystrosaurus, Oviraptor, Atrociraptor, and Moros Intrepidus are also coming to the game and will all have 12 body colors and seven skin variants, which include skins based on Dominion. DeWanda Wise, Dichen Lachman, Omar Sy, and Campbell Scott have all reprised their roles as Kayla Watts, Soyona Santos, Barry Sembène, and Lewis Dodgson, respectively. The game already has some stars from the film like Jeff Goldblum and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Dominion Malta also comes with a new campaign and three new Mediterranean maps. Players will have to bounce between all three to run a successful operation and choose between running with the Authorities or the Underground. The new Dinosaur Exchange also lets users get more eggs, species, and genomes, further expanding how they can play. The Acquisition Center is also inspired by the film and will add new vehicle skins and decorations.

And as is the case with many expansions, this DLC comes with a free update that benefits all players. Five DFW campaign maps will become accessible as challenge levels once players have earned seven stars on each map in challenge mode. Behavior changes for smaller dinosaurs have also been implemented in this patch, including improvements to their collision and navigation logic.

The user interface has been streamlined, too, so users can more easily deduce what dinosaurs are where when transporting them. New ailment and tranquilize icons, better notifications for angry dinosaurs, and a notification for park tours that have been disable by storms have also all been added alongside various quality-of-life changes. These include sleeping dinosaurs reacting to honking horns, a slew of new dinosaur colors, the ability for PS4 players to export their save to the PS5 version, and NVIDIA DLSS 3 support for those on PC.
