EA and Marvel Ink 3-Game Deal

EA and Marvel Ink Multi-Game Deal

Electronic Arts officially announced that it was making an Iron Man game, but that is just the beginning. The publisher announced that it has signed a multi-game deal with Marvel that will result in at least three different titles.

Bloomberg first broke the story, while Electronic Arts put out it own post soon after. The aforementioned Iron Man game is one of these titles. Neither Bloomberg nor EA dug into the other two games, but one is reportedly an open-world Black Panther title. Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb claimed in July that it was being developed at industry veteran Kevin Stephens’ new Electronic Arts studio.

No credible rumors have hinted at the identity of the third game. It may be some time before these latter two titles are officially unveiled, as Marvel Games Executive Vice President Jay Ong said players will “learn more in the far future.”

Regardless of the heroes they will star, EA noted that these will all be original action adventure games coming to console and PC. EA COO Laura Miele said that this collaboration will “produce exceptional experiences” in the years to come.

“We have been long-time fans of Marvel and their impressive leadership, so this is a remarkable moment for our developers as well as our players and fans,” she said.
