The Expanse: A Telltale Series Trailer Shows Gameplay and Release Window

It’s been more than a few months since The Expanse: A Telltale Series‘ reveal at The Game Awards. This title based on the book series and television show has come out hibernation for Opening Night Live, as Deck Nine and Telltale Games showed off more of its upcoming narrative adventure game.

The gameplay trailer came with input from certain members of the two teams. They want to make it more interactive and have players more actively engage with the game, which was evident in the footage. Players could be seen walking and floating around a spaceship in ways that were more involved than what previous Telltale games offered. The zero gravity sections were specifically called out as a big gameplay feature.

It had the gameplay dialogue branches that Telltale games are known for, but only one was shown and it had two options. It then strongly implied that players will be able to leave one the characters in the trailer behind, foreshadowing some potentially tough choices. Cara Gee, who also plays Camina Drummer in the show, was in the video, too, and spoke about portraying a more “vulnerable” version of the character.
