Not much of One Piece Odyssey has been shown off since its initial announcement earlier this year. However, during Summer Game Fest, a new trailer was revealed for the upcoming RPG, which included some gameplay, as well as the new location that will appear in it.

The new trailer shows Monkey D. Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates becoming marooned on a mysterious island, before cutting in to show off some very brief looks at Odyssey‘s gameplay. Not enough was shown to get a true feel for how the game will play, but it does seem to be inspired by classic JRPGs, so fans should feel at home whenever they get to play it.

One Piece Odyssey will tell an original story from the creator of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda. Judging by the trailer, fans can expect a ton of familiar characters from the series to appear in the game, including Franky, Nami, Sanji, and of course, Luffy himself.

ILCA Inc., a team that has helped on titles like Yakuza 0 and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, is developing, and Matoi Sakuraba, known for his work on the Tales series, is composing will serve as a producer for the title.
