Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker Adds Kawaki as DLC Character

The fifth and final character of the latest Season Pass for Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker has been revealed, with Kawaki set to join the game. The news comes via a new trailer for Kawaki that showcases some of his moves in the game, including his “Ritual Destruction” secret technique. The character will become available tomorrow, February 4, for those who have Season Pass 4.

In the Boruto anime, Kawaki appears as a friend of Boruto after being taken in by Naruto. Together, both Kawaki and Boruto compete to be the best ninja. In the series, Kawaki is a particularly strong ninja, and thanks to his various body modifications, can perform almost superhuman attacks.

In the game, Kawaki can utilize Ninjutsu: Karma Linchpin (Strange Taste) to absorb and nullify an opponent’s Ninjutsu, and Ninjutsu: Scientific Ninja Tool Imperial Wrath to chain a tackle into a powerful slash attack. His Secret Technique: Karma Linchpin (Ritual Destruction) move allows Kawaki to transform his arm to pierce a single opponent and follow-up with a devastating explosion.

Despite releasing nearly four years ago, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker has continued to release a ton of content into the game. Its latest Season Pass 4 pack introduced four new characters — Sakura Haruno (Great Ninja War), Nagato (Reanimation), Itachi Uchia (Reanimation), and Sasuke Uchiha (Last Battle) — into the game. Kawaki will mark the last of the batch. Currently, there is no information on whether or not a Season Pass 5 will release for the game.

The game also features characters from Boruto: Naruto Next Generations which began as a manga series written by Ukyo Kodachi and Masashi Kishimoto and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto. It was also serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. It lasted between 2016 and 2019. The anime adaptation is still ongoing.
