’90s Adventure Games Freddi Fish & Putt-Putt Announced for the Switch

The Nintendo Switch is notorious for being a port machine from all different sorts of eras and system. And Humongous Entertainment is now doing its part to put some adventure games from the ’90s on the platform. Eshop listings for Freddi Fish 3: The Case of the Stolen Conch Shell and Putt-Putt Travels Through Time were both recently uncovered, citing a January 3 release for both. They’ll be $14.99 each, but will have a $3 launch discount.

As found by Nintendo Everything, these two titles don’t seem to be remasters or much more than simple ports. There also don’t seem to be PlayStation or Xbox versions anywhere as of now, either. The store listings for both are also quite bare. However, the screen shots listed seem to show quick saving and quick loading as well as a “skip” feature. Freddi Fish will be around 188 mb and Putt-Putt will weigh in at 311 mb.

Putt-Putt Travels Through Time first released in 1997 for the PC and previously came to mobile platforms and Steam 2012, 2013, and 2014. Freddi Fish 3: The Case of the Stolen Conch Shell, on the other hand, originally came out in 1998 and also released on those aforementioned platforms around the same time as Putt-Putt. Both adventure series were popular in the ’90s and were part of Humongous Entertainment lineup of adventure games that were aimed at younger crowds.
