Kena: Bridge of Spirits Delayed by One Month

The game delays keep on rolling in. Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Ember Lab’s third-person action adventure game, is now coming on out PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on September 21.

Ember Lab announced this delay on its Twitter account. In its short message, it cited polish as the reason the game was pushed. The team assured players that it has been “working extremely hard” and that this extra month is “critical to ensure the best experience possible.”

Kena: Bridge of Spirits has seen more than a few delays. After its reveal in June 2020 as a part of the PS5 reveal, the studio decided in September 2020 to push it into Q1 2021. In February 2021, Ember Lab then gave it its August 24, 2021 release date, something that held until earlier today.

Ember Lab is a team that’s been known for animated commercials, special effects, and shorts, which includes the Majora’s Mask animated short that went viral in 2017. Given that background, it’s easy to see why the game looks like an animated film. It was even one of the eight games shown at the Tribeca Film Festival, as shown by the trailer below.
