Assassin’s Creed Valhalla released in November 2020 but Ubisoft is not even close with supporting the title. Ubisoft announced in the Ubisoft Forward that the RPG will be getting even more DLC in 2022 as well as the Discovery Tour in late 2021. This is in all in addition to the free updates and events the game has been receiving since launch.
No other Assassin’s Creed game has gotten DLC support in its second year. Odyssey got the most DLC support and its final expansion released on July 16 of the following year, around nine months after the base game. Ubisoft hinted that this mysterious batch of DLC was going to be centered around Odin and contained a shot of a mysterious gateway. It could possibly send Eivor to one of the other realms, but it is not clear.

No dates were given, as Ubisoft still has to release The Siege of Paris, the next expansion. This DLC will take Eivor to France, which Ubisoft also showed a little of in the presentation. Black box infiltration missions are returning, which are open sandboxes that allow players to choose how they complete a mission. These were in some important missions in both Unity and Syndicate. Unity was also set in Paris so this seems appropriate. Players will also experience new abilities, weapons, and enemies. No date was given aside from “summer.”

The Discovery Tour is also coming back for the third game in a row and like those two other games, it is coming in a free post-launch update. “Exclusive rewards” will await those who delve into the game’s interactive museum-like tours that show different aspects of England at that time. It is coming this fall.
