Biomutant PS5 and Xbox Series X Gameplay Revealed

Following last week’s Biomutant footage, gameplay for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X version of the Experiment 101 and THQ Nordic game has been revealed ahead of its May 25 release.

Similar to the previously revealed PC footage, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X gameplay shows off Biomutant‘s “Something Unprofitable” and “The Keepsake” missions. As you probably expected from a team comprised of several former Just Cause developers, the footage flaunts its cartoon and comic-inspired visuals along with its intense, action-packed third-person gameplay.

It should be noted that the PlayStation 5 footage is actually running at 1080p at 60 frames per second, but upscaled to 4K. The Xbox Series X footage is running at native 4K at 60 frames per second. Both are using dynamic resolution. The reason the native 4K option was deactivated for the PlayStation 5 version is due to stability and performance reasons. In fact, it will remain deactivated for the release version as well.

If you’re really digging what you’re seeing from the upcoming THQ Nordic and Experiment 101 third-person open-world action game, you can pre-order Biomutant right now for $59.99. Anyone who reserves a copy will receive the Mercenary Class Loadout as a bonus.

Biomutant was initially revealed in August 2017. While it has appeared at several industry trade shows, including Germany’s Gamescom, not a whole lot has been shown.

Biomutant will launch on May 25 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It will also be playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X via backwards compatibility.
