Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul’s Mystery Project Isn’t What You Think…

After months of teasing, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul finally unveiled their mystery project; and, in what feels like a gut punch, it has nothing to do with Breaking Bad. Instead, according to The Wrap, the pair formerly known as Walt & Jessie joined forces to craft … a new artisanal Mezcal and launch a new liquor brand aptly known as Dos Hombres.

Cranston revealed how the project came about, stating in an Instagram post: “We started traveling to Oaxaca to see if we could find it, and we mean it had to be ‘it,’ something so damn good even people who don’t think they like Mezcal will love it. It had to be perfect or we weren’t going to do it. We are crazy about the taste, the aroma, and the versatility of this smokey, age-old alcohol. Try it, and let us know what you think. We are certain you will love it.”

While it’s certainly cool to see the Breaking Bad co-stars hanging out in real life, and making a new liquor at that, there’s certainly a bait-and-switch feeling after all of the speculation — which was certainly by design.
