The Fockers DVD is Big

Universal Studios Home Entertainment dominated most charts with Meet the Fockers and The Hollywood Reporter says it’s quickly becoming one of the biggest-selling live-action comedies in the history of DVD. The film is No. 1 on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert DVD sales chart for the week ending April 24 and is the nation’s top rental for the same frame.

Other new entries on the rental chart are House of Flying Daggers and A Love Song for Bobby Long, both from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The latter, with $2.2 million in revenue in its first five days, has racked up 10 times more money as a rental than it did at the domestic boxoffice.

Birth, from New Line Home Video, also debuted as a top 20 rental, earning $2.9 million in its first five days, about 58% of what it earned at the domestic boxoffice.
