September 15, 2015: This Week on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD

Welcome to’s look at all the top entertainment hitting this week on Blu-ray, DVD and streaming platforms. Check out the gallery viewer below for a look at the major new releases, catalogue titles and television collections hitting shelves on Tuesday, September 15, 2015. We’ve also started including titles that are newly available via Digital HD.

Walt Disney Pictures’ live-action take on Cinderella kicks off a busy week that also brings us the hugely successful franchise sequel Furious 7 (as well as a Fast & Furious 1-7 Collection), the impressive Beach Boys biopic Love & Mercy and Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom.

Warner Archive slips back into the past for the first ever HD release of Edward Dmytryk’s noir thriller Murder My Sweet, while Scream Factory offers up Return of the Jedi director Richard Marquand’s 1978 horror thriller The Legacy.

Following in the path of their previous Krzysztof Kieslowski discs (The Double Life of Veronique and the Three Colors Trilogy), the Criterion Collection brings to Blu-ray an early work of the Polish cinematic master with 1981’s Blind Chance.

This is also a big week for James Bond as, in preparation for the upcoming SPECTRE, we’re getting a new Ultimate James Bond Collection box set, which includes a sneak peek at the new film and the first-ever Digital Copies for all 23 previous Bond films. At Best Buy, nine key Bond titles are getting stylish Steelbook exclusives, so collectors should be on the lookout for From Russia with LoveThunderballYou Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Diamonds are Forever, For Your Eyes OnlyCasino RoyaleQuantum of Solace, Skyfall and a three-movie Daniel Craig Collection.

The big release on the TV front for September 15 is FOX’s massive Lost in Space: The Complete Series, which upgrades every single episode to HD for the first time and comes jam-packed with bonus features. Check back with later this week for an exclusive interview with Lost in Space star Bill Mumy about the archival collection.

September 15 also brings us the first season of Aquarius, the eighth season of The Big Bang Theory, the complete HBO documentary miniseries The Jinx and the second season of Sleepy Hollow. Also available on DVD only are CSI: Crime Scene Investigation – The Final Season and CSI: Cyber: Season 1.

Rounding out the TV releases is a DVD-only release of LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles, collecting the recent animated specials. 

Debuting on Digital HD this week are Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, Cooties, and War Pigs. All three arrive September 15, although only the first currently has a pre-order link.
