The Bucket List Tops DVD Charts

Warner Home Video’s The Bucket List was the top DVD seller and renter for the week ending June 15, while fellow new release Jumper, from Fox, topped the Blu-ray Disc sales chart.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Bucket,” a comedy that generated $93.5 million at the U.S. box office, debuted at No. 1 on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart and Home Media Magazine’s video rental chart.

Jumper, a sci-fi actioner with $79.9 million in theatrical receipts, bowed at a close No. 2 on the sales chart, selling 88% as many units as “Bucket List.” The film also debuted at No. 2 on the rental chart, generating 91.5% as much action at the rental counter as the Warner comedy.

Two other new releases debuted in the First Alert top 10: Sony Pictures’ The Other Boleyn Girl at No. 4, and HBO’s “John Adams” at No. 5.
