To Be Takei
George Takei, best known for playing Sulu on "Star Trek," is the center of director Jennifer M. Kroot's light-hearted documentary, which explores not only the actor's role in Hollywood, but his career as both an author and an LGBT activist. Featuring new interviews with other original "Trek" stars and John Cho (who played Sulu in both J.J. Abrams films), To Be Takei hits DVD this week with a selection of bonus scenes.

Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon
Mike Meyers makes his directorial debut with this feature-length documentary, exploring the life of Hollywood manager Shep Gordon. Filled with hilarious and often shocking anecdotes from Gordon and decades of celebrity cohorts, Supermensch is an engaging, hilarious and loving tribute to a man whose name you may not know, but whose career has likely already impressed you.

Sleeping Beauty: Diamond Edition
Walt Disney Pictures' 16th feature length animated classic returns from the Disney Vault in a new Diamond Edition. If you've still got the 2008 release, however, you might want to hold onto it as this version offers a very different collection of special features, including nearly 15 minutes of deleted scenes in animatic form.

Sharknado 2
Halloween is rapidly approaching and the forecast is calling for great whites. Sharknado 2: The Second One arrives on home video today, continuing Syfy's shlock-targeting horror franchise. The film hits Blu-ray today with a host of special features, including two feature-length commentaries.

Rick and Morty: Season One
Comedy arguably doesn't get much darker than it does in Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland's hit new Adult Swim series, which follows the adventures of Rick, a gruff, alcoholic scientific genius and Mort, his young, not-so-bright grandson. One of most laugh-out-loud funny animated series in years, "Rick and Morty" arrives in a lovingly-designed package that offers (super-entertaining) audio commentaries and full animatics on every single episode. Also included is a UV copy, so you can watch all 11 season one episodes from anywhere.

Million Dollar Arm
Director Craig Gillespie brings to life the unlikely-but-true story of sports agent J.B. Berstein (Jon Hamm) who came up with the innovative idea of recruiting baseball talent from India. The light-hearted drama hits Blu-ray with deleted scenes, an alternate ending and a behind-the-scenes featurette following the intense training undergone by stars Suraj Sharma and Madhur Mittal.

Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock
Directors Mathias Malzieu and Stephanie Berla's animated fantasy adventure adapts Malzieu's own novel, following a 19th century boy whose heart has been replaced with a cuckoo clock. Shout! Factory brings the French release home, giving viewers the option of watching an English audio track or the original French dialogue with subtitles.

Edge of Tomorrow
Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt star in director Doug Liman's adaptation of the Japanese novel "All You Need is Kill." A sort of Starship Troopers meets Groundhog Day, Cruise plays an unlikely soldier who finds himself repeating the same day over and over every time he dies. The film hits Blu-ray this week with more than an hour of special features, including seven deleted scenes.

Bates Motel
Although "Bates Motel" won't be reopening its doors for season three until next year, all ten season two episode have arrived just in time for Halloween. Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore headline the contemporary origin story of Psycho's Norman Bates which picks up in the wake of Norman's first killing at the end of season one. Also included are deleted scenes and two "After Hours" specials.

American Horror Story: Coven
With the latest season, "Freak Show," premiering on FX this week, the series' second season, "Coven" is coming home, accompanied by a three 10-15 minute featurettes.

A Million Ways to Die in the West
Although it didn't have quite the box office draw of writer/director/star Seth MacFarlane's first feature, Ted, this offbeat Western comedy has plenty of fun surprises, including new ones revealed in the Blu-ray's extended cut of the film, running nearly 20 minutes longer. Also included is an enjoyable commentary track featuring both MacFarlane and co-star Charlize Theron.
