Wendy Williams Documentary: What Is the Talk-Show Host’s Net Worth?

The upcoming Lifestyle documentary Where Is Wendy Williams? will take a look at the life and recent health struggles of the former talk show host. Williams reportedly got diagnosed with Graves’ disease and also fell into a financial predicament. Her health issues got so serious that in 2021, The Wendy Williams Show had to be canceled. On one occasion, she had even fainted on air during the 2017 special Halloween special episode.

The official synopsis of Where Is Wendy Williams? reads, “Over the course of nearly two years, cameras chronicled the former television host and radio star Wendy Williams’ on the next phase of her life, following the end of her iconic talk show. The documentary provides a raw, honest and unfiltered reality of Wendy’s life after she was placed under financial guardianship, shedding light on the vulnerabilities that has turned Wendy into the Hot Topic herself.”

It further states, “Suffering mental and physical issues, Wendy’s delicate state of mind, erratic behavior and declining health were all captured by the cameras. Where is Wendy Williams? is the story of Wendy’s journey to resurrect her career, and what filmmakers discovered along the way. But many questions remain – who truly has Wendy’s best interest at heart? Is she healthy now? And Where is Wendy Williams?”

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Wendy Williams’ net worth is $20 million. Furthermore, the website reports that her yearly salary as host of The Wendy Williams Show was $10 million. Since she appeared in 180 episodes, she received $55,000 per episode.

What was Wendy Williams’ first professional job?

According to AWBI, Wendy’s career began in the radio industry when she interned at WBLS (then known as WRKS) in New York. As time went by, she began hosting The Wendy Williams Experience, her own radio show that aired from 2002 to 2009. Even though the show was hugely popular, her big break was yet to come. In 2008, with the launch of The Wendy Williams Show on TV, she reached new heights of stardom. The show bagged several awards and received praise from critics and the audience.

Over a decade later, in 2019, Williams was interviewed by The New York Times Magazine, where she explained the effect of social media in the private lives of celebrities. She stated, “These days people feel as if they have the right to information from celebrities, because if they can’t get that information from them directly, they can get it through social media anyway. But I haven’t changed. I consider myself the original. I’ve been doing this for years and been vilified. Now everybody’s doing it.”

Williams continued, “It’s not necessarily fair that the public feels the way it does. Celebrities have a right to privacy. My approach has never been that I’m prying. If you’re a celebrity, and you invite me over for dinner, I’m not talking about that. But if I’m at a party, and you’re there with somebody other than your wife, I’m calling my Hot Topics bureau to make sure we talk about that on the show.”

Wendy Williams married twice. From her second husband, Kevin Hunter, she has a son named Kevin Hunter Jr.
