This project sheds light on the controversies this infamous family was involved in. Furthermore, it even showcases the Duggar family’s questionable relationship with The Institute in Basic Life Principles. The Institute in Basic Life Principles is a Christian fundamentalist organization, which many believe operates as a cult.
After the revelation that one of the family members, Josh Duggar, was a sex offender, the TLC show titled, 19 Kids and Counting, was canceled. Furthermore, some members of this massive family even cut ties with them. The Prime Video documentary only features Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard.
According to Distractify, the aforementioned couple distanced themselves from the Duggar family due to financial reasons. However, Distractify also reported that another reason for this decision was morality.
