How did David Holmes get paralyzed while doing a stunt in Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1?

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 was released in 2010. During its filming, David Holmes was performing a stunt but unfortunately, he met with an accident that left him paralyzed for life.

In a 9-year-old interview with the Mirror, the former stuntman explained that an extremely strong wire pulled him in a backward motion. He collided with a wall and instantly broke his neck.
