Hulk Declares War on Marvel’s Biggest Heroes, Including Spider-Man and Wolverine

Hulk goes on a rampage against Spider-Man, Wolverine, and more in a new Marvel comic series. It will act as a buildup to a massive Hulk-focused event arriving next year.

What do we know about the new Hulk saga?

Marvel Comics has announced an all-new Infernal Hulk Vs. series one-shots, ahead of the Hulk War event. The first comic run in the series will be The Infernal Hulk Vs. Wolverine #1. In the entire one-shot series, Hulk will bring the utmost destruction to Marvel’s mightiest heroes and ultimately defeat them.

It’s the result of an ancient evil, Eldest, who has taken over Hulk’s body. This series will also lead into the Hulk War, an epic crossover event coming in early 2027. Before that, Hulk will go through a complete transformation while assembling an army of corrupted, monstrous champions across a series of explosive one-shots. They will act as the penultimate chapters in the Infernal Hulk saga.

The first one-shot comic, The Infernal Hulk Vs. Wolverine #1 will arrive in September this year. It’s written by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and illustrated by artist Jonas Scharf.

Sharing his excitement for the one-shots, Johnson said, “It’s a series of one-shot battles between Infernal Hulk and Earth’s mightiest heroes, as Hulk gathers his terrifying Infernal Avengers for Hulk War. The one-shots features one of the most epic rivalries in comics, Infernal Hulk Vs Wolverine, and an ending that I’m expecting to shock some people.”

“The most fun aspect of this series were rereading old Marvel battles, reminding myself what’s been done and how hard we’ve been willing to go in the past,” he added.

Johnson also teased a very dangerous side of Hulk for the one-shots. “I want to keep ramping up the horror vibe of the Hulk series, and for our readers to see things in these one-shots they’ve never seen before. On both counts, I promise we’ll deliver.”

These will run through December. Plus, the series will also include comics titled The Infernal Hulk Vs. Fantastic Four #1, The Infernal Hulk Vs. Spider-Man #1, and The Infernal Hulk Vs. The Avengers #1.

Each one-shot will see Hulk registering a thumping victory over the iconic heroes, getting him closer to remaking the Marvel universe in his own twisted image.
