Archie Meets Jay and Silent Bob is a new crossover that sees the world of Riverdale collide with the View Askewniverse. Written by Smith, the one-shot features artwork by Fernando Ruiz, Rich Koslowski, Matt Herms, and Jack Morelli.

What did Kevin Smith say about the Archie Meets Jay and Silent Bob crossover?
“Everything’s Archie when the View is Askew! It would seem counter-intelligent to assume that the Riverdale royalty could ever blend with the weedy world of Jay and Silent Bob — and yet Archie Meets Jay and Silent Bob mixed as well as the milk and shakes at Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe,” Smith said. “This in-continuity comic finds Archie Andrews employed at Quick Stop in New Jersey, where Randal Graves from Clerks is still grieving the death of his best friend (as seen in Clerks III). As Archie’s similarity to the departed Dante helps Randal heal, the convenience store soldier guides his new red-headed clerk through life lessons, accompanied along the way by Jay and Silent Bob! By the time they all return to Riverdale for a Josie and the Pussycats concert, lifelong friendships and lots of laughs are created! This is honestly one of my favorite scripts I’ve ever written — and maybe one day, we’ll get to take it off the page and onto a small screen!”
The solicitation for the crossover further hints at a “musical number that will be burned into your brain forever,” while Jay and Sileny Bob may even “help Archie to finally choose between Betty and Veronica.”
