C-drama fans can look forward to this week (April 22 – 28) as some of the most-anticipated dramas are releasing their new episodes. While some dramas will carry out their weekly journey, new dramas like Will Love in Spring, Gone with the Wind, and My Divine Emissary will premiere this week. These shows will fall under the genres of romance, history, thriller, and more.

1. Will Love in Spring
This romantic C-drama is all set to meet viewers on April 22, 2024. It features Li Xian and Zhou Yutong in the lead roles. It is an adaptation of the web novel Qing Ren, written by She Mu Si. The drama tells the love story of Chen Mai Dong (Li Xian), a funeral make-up artist, and Zhuang Jie (Zhou Yutong), a career-oriented woman from the city. They both are lonely and face their own hardships. Zhuang Jie moves to her hometown, and they cross paths on a blind date.
Will Love in Spring will be available for streaming on Tencent Video and We TV.
2. Gone with the Wind
This thriller C-drama will premiere on April 27, 2024. It is an adaptation of the novel Xiao Nan Feng, penned by Jiu Yue Xi. It will feature Tong Yao and Zhang Xin Cheng in the main roles. Gone with the Wind will be available for streaming on Youku.
3. My Divine Emissary
This historical romance C-drama finished filming in 2021 and will premiere on April 22, 2024. It features Li Zi Xuan and Chen Jing Ke in the main roles. It will tell the story of Li Meng Meng (Li Zi Xuan), who is poor at her studies. A strange but fantastic phenomenon takes her to the world of the Qi Kingdom. She is hailed as their envoy. She soon forms a bond with their young king and uses her modern knowledge to help him out.
My Divine Emissary will be available for streaming on Youku.
4. Best Choice Ever (Ep 29 – 37)
This ongoing modern C-drama is scheduled to release its season finale on April 26, 2024. It features Xu Kai and Yang Zi in the main roles. It tells the story of Mai Cheng Huan (Yang Zi), who ruins her relationship with her boyfriend after she proposes to him for marriage as per her mother’s advice. Mai is torn between making her life decisions independently and obeying her parents’ decisions. As she breaks free from her mother’s scrutiny, she falls in love with Yao Zhi Ming (Xu Kai). Will Zhi Ming be able to fix the relationship between Cheng Huan and her mother?

5. In the Name of the Brother (Ep 7- 18)
This ongoing historical C-drama will release a total of 12 episodes this week. It tells the story of twin brothers, Song Zhuowen (Qin Hao) and Song Zhuowu. The two brothers, who have opposite personalities, join hands to fight for their country. Meanwhile, the authorities appoint section chief Guan Xue (Yang Mi) to catch the twins.
In the Name of the Brother’s episodes are available for streaming on iQIYI.
Other than these popular dramas, the period drama Guo Zhao will premiere on April 23, 2024, and the historic drama Jing Zhong Hua will premiere on April 24, 2024.
