Ongoing office romance C-drama Our Interpreter, starring famous actors Chen Xinxu and Victoria Song, recently released episodes 14 and 15. The episodes aired on Hunan TV on Monday, January 15, 2024. Our Interpreter portrays the romance of two ex-lovers—Xiao Yi Cheng (Chen Xingxu) and Lin Xi (Victoria Song)—who get a second chance at love when they meet each other eight years after their breakup.
In the previous episodes, viewers see how Yi Cheng still likes Lin Xi. He also confessed that he has once again fallen in love with her. On the other hand, Lin Xi prioritizes her work and turns him down. Yi Cheng still decides to keep pursuing her and moves into the apartment next to Lin Xi’s, just to be closer to her.
At the beginning of episode 14 of Our Interpreter, Yi Cheng gets a call from his business partners, who ask him to consider replacing Lin Xi with another translator. Yi Cheng’s rivals had been trying to use his personal relationship with her to sabotage the launch of his product. When Yi Cheng hears about the offer, he immediately turns it down. Lin Xi also tries to convince him, but he is not ready to hear anything.
Yi Cheng then takes Lin Xi to his car and the two drive to Meizhou Island. Yi Cheng visits a local doctor’s clinic and tries his company’s new invention, an AI doctor. A patient visits the doctor, and the AI doctor predicts that he has a brain fracture. Yi Cheng takes the opportunity to send the patient to the city so that he and Lin Xi will have to spend the night on the island.
Our Interpreter episodes 14-15: Chen Xingxu & Victoria Song go on a trip together
As seen in the previous episodes, Yi Cheng’s company, Yuyi Technology, has been facing criticism from the public. On their drive back from the island, Yi Cheng sees an anonymous netizen criticizing Yuyi’s translator device for making false claims. He gets visibly upset.
Lin Xi tries to console him by assuring him everything will be fine. When they arrive at Lin Xi’s place, Cheng Yao (Fei Qi Ming) greets them. Yi Cheng notices his watch, which is the same as the watch worn by the anonymous netizen from the news earlier.
Yuyi organizes a press conference to clear their name of the defamation. Prominent figures in the translation industry, including Lin Xi’s grandfather, Professor Gao, also attend the conference. Meanwhile, Yuyi’s translator device wins over everyone. Lin Xi learns how Professor Gao doesn’t usually attend press conferences, not even when he is offered a big sum of money. He only did it this time for her sake.
Yi Cheng confronts Yao Cheng about appearing on the news, but he denies it. However, he throws a challenge at Yi Cheng that he will do anything to win over Lin Xi. He decides to participate in a skating competition to impress her.
