JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean Trailer Teases Netflix Debut

Netflix has announced that the upcoming fifth season of the popular anime series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure will officially be available for streaming worldwide this coming December. The latest installment titled Stone Ocean will be based on the manga’s sixth part.

In addition, the official trailer for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean has also been released which you can check out below along with the key-art, teasing the final battle in the century-spanning, intertwining fate of the Joestar family and Dio.

Based on the original manga by Hirohiko Araki, the anime series has been on-air since 2012. It centers around the Joestar family, whose superpowered family members discover that they’re destined to take down supernatural enemies.

“Florida, U.S.A, 2011 — After an accident while on a drive with her sweetheart, Jolyne Cujoh falls into a trap and is sentenced to fifteen years at the state-run maximum-security correctional facility Green Dolphin Street Prison—AKA ‘the Aquarium.’ On the verge of despair, she receives a pendant from her father that causes a mysterious power to awaken inside of her,” he official synopsis for Stone Ocean reads. ‘There are things in this world that are more terrifying than death, and what’s happening in this prison is definitely one of them.’ A message from a mysterious boy who appears before Jolyne, inexplicable events that occur one after another, the horrifying truth told to her by her father when he comes to visit, and the name DIO… Will Jolyne ultimately be set free from this stone ocean they call a prison?”

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure STONE OCEAN is a production by David Production Inc. It hails from chief director Kenichi Suzuki and director Toshiyuki Kato. Its creative team also includes Yasuko Kobayashi for series composition, Masanori Shino for character design, Shunichi Ishimoto for designer of the stands, sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami, and music by Yugo Kanno.

The Japanese voice cast features Fairouz Ai as Jolyn Cujoh,  Mutsumi Tamura as Ermes Costello, Mariya Ise as F.F., Atsumi Tanezaki as Emporio Alnino, Yuichiro Umehara as Weather Forecast, Daisuke Namikawa as Narciso Anastasia, and Daisuke Ono as Jotaro Kujo.
