Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy season 2 episode 16 recap: Rona returns to Rotsgard with her evil schemes

Episode 16, titled “A Certain Student’s Secret,” begins with a little Ilumgand talking to Luria, which reveals the former’s backstory. Moreover, Makoto is seen reminiscing over his conversation with Zara Hardis. To protect himself and his students, he telepathically contacts Rona.

He requests Rona to excavate the demons in Rotsgard for Jin and Abelia. Rona readily accepts the request, and the focus shifts to the academy tournament, in which Makoto’s students—Jin, Yuno, and Izumo—almost win against Ilumgand.

However, in the middle of the battle, the episode reveals Ilumgand’s connections with Hibiki and Luria through flashbacks. Moreover, the episode showcases that Makoto interrupts Ilumgand’s interaction with Luria, enraging Ilumgand. Hence, Rona takes advantage of the opportunity to target the hyumans by giving Ilumgand the ability to amplify medicine and an amulet.

As such, Rona betrays Makoto, taking advantage of his gullibility. Finally, due to Rona’s evil strategy, the episode ends with multiple hyumans mutating along with a mutated Ilumgand posing a threat to Makoto’s students.
