Chainsaw Man chapter 159 recap: War Devil Yoru comes to action
Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man chapter 159 was titled “Attack on Samurai”. As Asa and Fami continue infiltrating the Tokyo Devil Detention Center to rescue Denji, Haruka Iseumi and two others from the Devil Hunter Club join the duo.
The chapter begins with Iseumi trying to prevent Nobana Higashiyama and Seigi Akoku from tagging along with them. However, Seigi tells him that he has nowhere else to go. Furthermore, Higashiyama finds a door to a room that inhabits Pseudo Chainsaw Men.
One of such transformed people stares at Higashiyama through the glass door. Taken aback by the sight, Higashiyama and the Guillotine Devil Guilly scream, drawing attention from Asa, Fami, and Iseumi.
Suddenly, the Public Safety Devil Hunter appears and explains how the people behind the glass door lived a normal life till the previous day. He also explains two popular theories regarding ordinary people’s transformation into pseudo-chainsaw men.
One of the theories is that these transformed people are those who like Chainsaw Man above a particular amount. Another theory suggests that they are those who hide amongst the people who worship him.
He also asks the “Chainsaw Man fan club” why his wife’s head sprouted a chainsaw while their heads remained unchanged. As the Devil Hunter continues his questions, Asa engages in a conversation with him, asking him if he has never done anything wrong in his life.
However, War Devil Yoru takes over and kicks Fami in the back while exclaiming how the Devil Hunter is merely buying time. Just then, the Katana Man barges in and misses Fami by an inch due to Yoru’s save.
Fami calls Guilly to find out he is back in his totem state. This is when the Nail Fiend appears behind Fami, forcing Asa to kick her again. As such, Yoru and Fami find themselves standing against two difficult enemies, the Katana Man and the Nail Fiend, setting the stage for an action-packed development.
