AnimeJapan 2024 Major Announcements
My Hero Academia
The event revealed the new My Hero Academia Season 7 trailer and the upcoming movie promo. The opening theme song for the new season, “Tagatame,” will be performed by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure.
Oshi no Ko
Oshi no Ko announced a July 2024 release window for its highly anticipated second season and revealed the additional cast members. Further announcements will be made on Friday, April 12, 2024, during the show’s first anniversary.
Netflix: Baki Hanma vs Kengan Ashura
Arguably, the biggest announcement of the whole event was the anime adaptation of the crossover Baki Hanma vs Kengan Ashura. The highly anticipated anime is set to premiere on Netflix on June 6, 2024.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse
The voice actors for Percival and Donny announced that season 2 of the anime was already in the works and would be released in October 2024.
Spice and Wolf
The anime replayed its main trailer, revealing that it would have two consecutive parts. Then, they confirmed the release date of April 2 and previewed the opening and ending themes for the anime.

Suicide Squad Isekai
The anime confirmed its July 2024 release window and showed the third trailer and key visuals from the upcoming series. The event also showed Popular Vtuber Mori Calliope, who will perform the ending song “Go-Getters” for the anime.
Black Butler: Public School Arc
A new trailer was shown at the event, revealing the anime’s opening and ending theme songs. Reportedly, -Otoha- will perform the opening theme, “Kyoshinsha no Parade -The Parade of Battlers-,” while SID will perform the ending theme, “Shokuzai” (Atonement). The anime then confirmed its release date, April 13.
