Ninja Kamui episode 6 recap: Who was Higan’s secret benefactor?
Ninja Kamui episode 6 was titled “Cheap Thrills For A Tiny Man,” and it showed Yamaji’s team in action to catch the traitor, Aska. The scene cuts to Higan, who was put underwater with wires attached to his brain and body.
Soon, Aska unmasks herself to reveal she was but Higan’s ally from the FBI, Emma Samanda. Among other major revelations, she confirms that she was Higan’s secret benefactor who had been helping him via phone calls to seek his revenge.
Emma unveils a suit that Higan could use besides his secret ninja art to defeat the corporate ninjas. However, she fails to activate it due to insufficient output. Emma also reveals that she saved Higan the night when Higan’s family died. This triggers Higan’s anger, and he questions why she did not save Mari and Ren.
Before Emma could say anything, Lil found them and attacked Emma. After an intense showdown, Lil almost beats Emma to death. However, before the episode can confirm her death, the focus shifts to Higan, who listens to Emma’s pre-recorded audio in his subconscious.
Through the audio, he learns that Emma had always stayed in touch with Mari when she was alive. Moreover, though Emma was sent on a mission to kill Higan, she arrived a little too late and failed to save Mari and Ren. However, she could save Higan for Mari, which she successfully did.
The recording triggers Higan’s rage, and Kamui, aka the upgraded version of Gusoku gear, the combat suit, suddenly got activated. This set the stage for an upcoming fight between Higan and Lil.
