Mashle Season 2 Episode 10 Recap and Spoilers: Wahlberg vs. Innocent Zero

Mashle season 2 episode 10 aired on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 11:30 p.m. JST. The episode was titled “Wahlberg Baygun and the Biggest Crisis.” After Wahlberg defeats his former mentor, Adam Jobs, in the previous episode, this latest installment sees him confront Zero.

Wahlberg confronts his Innocent Zero, carrying his teacher’s lesson, Noblesse Oblige, and promises to defeat Him. He started the fight on the front foot, taking the fight directly to Zero. However, the latter rewinds time and counters with his spell Time Rewoundz, using it to decay Wahlberg’s left arm and the left side of his face.

Wahlberg continues to barrage Zero, erasing the space around him to prevent the latter from using his spells. However, Zero counters with another Time Rewoundz to the same arm, causing Wahlberg to lose his left arm.

The episode recounts Wahlberg’s past as a socially awkward and weak child. He chose to stay away from school and isolate himself, but his teacher, Adam Jobs, didn’t give up on him. Remembering his ideals, Wahlberg accesses the epitome of magic, unleashing his third spell, Uranus Inclination. Unlike the power of second spell, third spell releases the power of the gods residing in the wand.

Initially, Wahlberg seemed to have the advantage as he erased all of Zero’s spells. However, his joy is shortlived as Zero freezes time to unleash a lethal attack. Despite the deadly attack, Wahlberg’s spell isn’t canceled, as the attack is imbued with the will of the wand itself.

The spell activates, unleashing a wave of magic visible to everyone and easily recognized by the Divine Visionaries. Unfortunately, Innocent Zero counters his spell with his Time magic, coming out practically unharmed.

At the start of the episode, Ryoh Grotz and his assistant Nerey finally reach Easton Academy. Due to Nerey’s low magic power, he is caught in Zero’s time spell, so Ryoh leaves him to go ahead. He is able to regroup with Orter and Kaldo and learn about their current situation.

Ryoh asks about Mash, knowing Zero is after him, but Kaldo tells him Mash is okay and how he defeated Cell. The news pleases Ryoh, who has high expectations for the protagonist. Mash looks for Wahlberg to assist him in his clash with Innocent Zero. Orter plans to interrogate Cell, but the latter is suddenly whisked away from them by an unknown individual.

However, with both Mages fighting in the air, Mash assisting Wahlberg didn’t seem possible. After Wahlberg casts his third spell on Innocent Zero, Mash notices the bright light acting as a beacon. As Zero is about to deal the final blow to Wahlberg, Mash interferes and attacks Innocent Zero with his knee.
