On Monday, March 11, 2024, the official website and Twitter of Izumi О̄kido’s I’ll Become a Villainess That Will Go Down in History anime released a new promotional video. The video also revealed the main cast and staff members and a key visual. As per the trailer, the anime will release in October, but there has been no exact release date.

Izumi О̄kido released the series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in December 2018. The light novel series began in 2020, and Jyun Hayase illustrated the work. Since then, five volumes have been released, with the sixth released on March 15.

The new visual shows the main characters, Duke Seeker and Alicia Williams, who will be played by Kaito Ishikawa and Kanna Nakamura, respectively. As for the staff, Yūji Yanase will direct the anime at Maho Film, while Sawako Hirabayashi will handle the scripts. Yūko Watabe and Eri Kojima will design the characters, with Moe Hyūga composing the music.
The official website describes the series as follows: “‘Good girl remarks’ that are common among orthodox heroines. I hate it so much, but my dream comes true and I’m reincarnated as a villainess!! In order to become a villainess that no one will complain about, I have to train my body and hone my magical skills! Even though I just tried my best, it seems that the more I try to become a villain, the more people around me like me!? okay, as a villain, I will do my best to betray those expectations!”
