The announcement also revealed the cast members alongside a visual teaser. Reportedly, mangaka Sugiura was delighted with the news and released a celebratory illustration to celebrate the announcement.

The cast members include Toshiyuki Toyonaga, who will voice Takuma Kosugi. He is known for his stellar performance as Kazuki Kurusu (Buddy Daddies) and Junichirō Tanizaki (Bungo Stray Dogs). Joining him will be Konomi Inagaki, who will voice the housekeeping robot Mina.

As for the main staff, Kumi to Tulip’s director, Fumihiro Yoshimura, will direct this series at Tezuka Productions. Mitsutaka Hirota is in charge of the series scripts, while Zenjirou Ukulele is in charge of character design.

Sugiura launched the manga in 2019 under Kadokawa’s Comic Flapper magazine. Kadokawa then published the seventh volume in October 2023. Seven Seas Entertainment, responsible for releasing the manga in English, describes the series as: “Takuma, a single guy who does nothing but go to work and come home. Too tired to do chores, he decides to get a robot to cook and keep house. ‘Mina-chan’ is such a good housekeeper.”

The synopsis continues, “Takuma jokes that she should become his wife. Mina takes Takuma’s joke seriously, and slowly, the two start doing more things together, like having a picnic outside. As time goes by, Takuma starts to fall for Mina, but can a human and a robot ever have an equal, loving relationship?”
