Warner Bros. Japan and Wit Studio just revealed six additional cast members for their highly anticipated anime Suicide Squad Isekai. The news was met with major excitement as they also released the voice actor for the fan-favorite character, Amanda Waller. The opening song, titled “Another World,” will be performed by famous Japanese musician Tomoyasu HOTEI.
Suicide Squad Isekai Anime: Here’s everything you need to know
Despite there being no clear release date, the anime is slated to be released sometime in 2024. Kujira, famous for her role as Otose in Gintama, will star as Amanda Waller, while Mamiko Noto will star as Aldora. Taku Yashiro will star as Rick Flag, and joining him will be Chika Anzai, who will voice Katana. Veteran voice actors Reina Ueda and Jun Fukushima, famous for their roles as Kanao and Kazuma, will take on the roles of Fione and Cecil, respectively.

- Reigo Yamaguchi as Deadshot
- Takehito Koyasu as Peacemaker
- Jun Fukuyama as Clayface
- Subaru Kimura as King Shark
Eri Osada is directing the project, together with Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara as scriptwriters. Naoto Hosoda is in charge of character design, Akira Amano is working on the character design draft, and Kenichiro Suehiro is composing the music.
Warner Bros. described the series as “In the crime-ridden city of Gotham, Amanda Waller, the head of A.R.G.U.S., has assembled a group of notorious criminals for a mission: Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface and King Shark. These super-villains are sent into an otherworldly realm that’s connected to this world through a gate. It’s a world of swords and magic where orcs rampage and dragons rule the skies—an “ISEKAI”!
The Synopsis continues, “With lethal explosives planted in their necks, there’s no running or hiding, and failing the mission means a one-way ticket to the afterlife! Can Harley Quinn and her crew conquer this perilous ISEKAI realm?! Brace yourselves for the pulse-pounding saga of the elite task force known as the “Suicide Squad” as they embark on a jaw-dropping adventure!”
