Strongest Quirks in My Hero Academia: One For All, All For One & More

In My Hero Academia, Quirks can be defined as superhuman abilities of various types. Though the mystery behind the emergence of these Quirks remains unknown, what is known is that these powers are unique to each wielder. Many theories emerged and caused chaos in society, especially when Anti-Meta groups started attacking the ones with these Meta Abilities.

These Quirks are the epitome of human evolution, with powers as common as fire manipulation to as rare as spatial warping. Moreover, the strongest Quirks in MHA can display not one but many powers, even with different combinations. On that note, here are five of the strongest Quirks in My Hero Academia that incite fear and intrigue.

One For All

Yoichi Shigaraki first wielded its powers, but Izuku Midoriya, aka Deku, currently hosts it. Midoriya is the Quirk’s ninth host, signifying that it got passed down through several other powerful wielders, including All Might.

Hence, One For All is famous for its unique transferability, with the only downside being that it can be transferred forcefully. Moreover, it grants its wielder superhuman strength and speed. It also has the ability to resonate with All For One, thereby adding depth to its mysterious power.

All For One

Tomura Shigaraki and its namesake’s threatening Quirk—All For One—is one that has been a part of the sinister schemes against All Might. It has the ability to combine stolen Quirks, resulting in utter devastation. Additionally, it can steal powers while also granting them, a feat observed when All For One manifested the Quirk during his infancy.

The Quirk empowered Nomu creatures and made them strong enough to take down formidable Heroes during battles. Moreover, the Quirk can manipulate other Quirks and has unique longevity. The use of this Quirk essentially looks forward to a dystopian world, indicating its immense power.

New Order

New Order, although self-destructed after it was in Tomura Shigaraki’s possession, allowed wielders to impose rules on things around them. As such, the wielder could touch a target while saying its name out loud, and the Quirk would do its job. It did not just alter the characteristics of physical properties but also affected other Quirks as well as intangible objects.

Cathleen Bate, the Quirk’s initial user, could redefine New Order in a way that made it versatile. During battles, she used the Quirk for various applications, which went as far as removing air. The Quirk also exhibited Fist Bump to the Earth and Keraunos, which were other great uses of the New Order, making it one of the strongest Quirks in My Hero Academia.

Rewind

Eri’s Quirk, Rewind, allows the user to reverse an entity’s state. It is, in essence, a rare mutation that allows people within its radius to get rid of the injuries that they suffer. Moreover, it goes so far as to revert individuals within its range to a moment before existence. Through Kai Chisaki, the Quirk’s potential to rewind genetics is unveiled.

As observed during the Shie Hassaikai Raid, Eri enhanced the Quirk’s powers with her emotions. Furthermore, her determination activated Rewind and obstructed Kai’s fusion. Therefore, the Quirk, with its rare powers is qualified to be on this list.

Decay

Decay is another strongest Quirk granted to Tomura Shigaraki, which allows him the ability to destroy anything that he touches. Whether it is organic or inorganic matter, Decay can lead it to perish within moments. Moreover, it creates a chain reaction of decay that highlights its scope beyond its initial contact.

All For One enhanced Decay’s evolution, after which the wielder realized its full potential. By doing so, it intensified the speed and range of decomposition and allowed Tomura to destroy larger areas than he previously did.

Special Mentions: Erasure, Overhaul

It would be unfair to My Hero Academia fans to close the list without mentioning Erasure and Overhaul. Both Erasure and Overhaul are terrifying Quirks with great powers. While the former allows the wielder to render their targets powerless by nullifying their Quirks, the latter allows the user to dismantle and reconstruct matter upon mere touch. Hence, they become additional two of the strongest Quirks in Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia.
