Tatsuya Endo’s Spy x Family is a massively popular manga. However, with the first season of the anime adaptation, this series’ popularity went off the charts. The anime was such a hit with fans that it was announced that the franchise would continue with a second season of the TV anime and a new movie.
Spy x Family Code: White will stretch almost 2 hours
Spy x Family Code: White is the first movie from this franchise featuring a completely original story that hasn’t been seen in the manga or anime. It’ll be hitting the screen across Japan later this month. International audiences must be patient for the film to be released overseas. According to the update on the official website of the series, the movie will run for one hour and 50 minutes.
Spy x Family Code: White will be released on December 22, 2023, in several theatres across Japan. Crunchyroll has also confirmed that the film will be available in North America next year. They have planned releases in both English subtitles and dubbed audio.
The movie’s story is exclusive to Tatsuya Endo’s work and hasn’t been featured in the manga or anime. Moreover, there have been new character designs in the movie by Mangaka himself. Takashi Katagiri will direct the film with Wit Studio and CloverWorks. Ichiro Okuchi writes the script, while Kyoji Asano serves as chief animation director.
