Bocchi the Rock! The Complete Season is set to release on Blu-ray on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. You can now pre-order it on Crunchyroll’s store, and it costs $52.49. The set features Japanese audio with English subtitles and comes with two Blu-ray discs. The special features include promo videos and textless opening and ending songs.
“Hitori Gotoh, aka Bocchi-chan, plays guitar in hopes of joining a band,” reads the series’ official synopsis. “And while she’s famous online, what’s holding her back is that she’s incredibly introverted. That is, until a desperate drummer gets Bocchi-chan out of her shell and onto the stage.”
Bocchi the Rock! began as a four-panel manga series by Aki Hamaji. It began its serialization in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Max magazine in 2017 and has been running since. The anime adaptation was produced by CloverWorks and originally ran from October 2022 to December, being comprised of 12 episodes. Season 1 was directed by Keiichirō Saitō and written by Erika Yoshida with music by Tomoki Kikuya.
