The recent episode of Jujutsu Kaisen finished on a cliffhanger, and fans are anticipating their answers in Episode 13 of Season 2. Recently, the voice actor of Nanami Kento posted a tweet on X (formerly Twitter), which could be a hint towards the fan-favorite character’s demise. The fights in this arc have been exceptionally good, and fans have some huge expectations from MAPPA. Manga readers are already aware of Nanami’s fate. However, seeing it animated will still be disheartening for many viewers.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Does Nanami Kento die?
Nanami will meet his demise at the hands of Mahito after suffering from severe damage from previous fights. He teamed up with Naobito and Maki to rescue Gojo; however, the three came across a special grade cursed spirit.
Three of them attacked the cursed spirit, pushing it to the limit. And, it resulted in Dagon managing to use Domain Expansion: Captivating Skandha. This sure-hit attack is Shikigami fishes that bite into the opponent.
Three of them couldn’t handle his domain, and none of them could use their own domains. Fortunately, Megumi appears to help and uses his own domain expansion. A resurrected Toji Fushiguro also appears, defeats Dagon without breaking a sweat, and takes Megumi with him.
As Nanami, Maki, and Naobito were safe, they suffered from serious injuries, with Naobito even losing an entire hand. However, things don’t turn out pretty for them as Jogo appears in the scene and burns all three of them to crisp. In that state, he defeats several transfigured humans and keeps walking forward until Mahito stops him with a hand on his chest. Nanami dies right in front of Yuji’s eyes while reminiscing about his only best friend, Haibara.
