Demon Slayer Season 3 Gets Release Window & Theatrical Event

Demon Slayer‘s official social media accounts have announced that the third season of the highly anticipated anime will premiere in April, but fans will get an early opportunity to check out the new season.

In a new trailer shared on Saturday, a release window of April was confirmed for the upcoming third season. Alongside that information, however, was the reveal of the Demon Slayer World Tour, which is set to kick off in 2023 with a premiere event in Los Angeles on February 18, 2023, before opening up to movie theaters across the United States and Canada on March 3, 2023.

The theatrical event will include a feature-length cut of episodes ten and eleven from Season 2’s adaptation of the Entertainment District Arc, as well as the premiere of the third season, which will be an extended length and run for an hour in 4K with remastered audio. Tickets for the event aren’t available yet, but will go on sale on January 7, 2023, at Ticketmaster’s website.

The Entertainment District arc premiered in December 2021 as part of the series’ second season. Meanwhile, Season 2’s first half contained the TV adaptation of the Mugen Train arc. Shortly after the season finale, Demon Slayer‘s social media accounts announced Season 3. The third season will cover the Swordsmith Village arc. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a shonen manga series created by Koyoharu Gotouge. Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump serialized the manga from February 2016 to May 2020. Meanwhile, the anime adaptation by studio Ufotable first premiered in April 2019. Haruo Sotozaki is directing the series.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba follows the story of Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who joins the Demon Slayer Corps after a demon slaughtered his whole family. The only survivor is his younger sister, Nezuko, who became a demon after the incident. As a Demon Slayer, Tanjiro aims to get his sister to become human again.
