Overlord IV Episode 2 Recap

Ainz starts thinking about the development of his kingdom. While Albedo and Demiurge lean more towards world domination, Ainz simply wants all races to live equally. Due to their differences in goals, Ainz decides to achieve his goal independently for now. Meanwhile, Princess Renner visits the orphanage in Re-Estize, which was set up for the children who lost their parents in the war. On their way home, Princess Renner, Climb, Evileye, and Tina converse about the kids. Afterward, they briefly talk about Momon, who might be the only one powerful enough to fight Ainz.

Meanwhile, Brain has been training under Vesture Kloff Di Laufen, Gazef’s former mentor. Brain is also keeping an eye out on orphans who might possess great potential. Upon returning to the palace, Princess Renner informs Prince Zanac about the representative of the Sorcerer Kingdom, who turns out to be Albedo. She attends a ball filled with nobles where Philip, a low-class noble, immediately introduces himself to her. With Hilma’s help, Philip hosts his own ball and invites Albedo. Philip asks Hilma about how he should court Albedo, but Hilma says he shouldn’t do it. Either way, Albedo does not like Philip at all, and he’s only being used as a puppet. The post-credits scene reveals that Princess Renner and Albedo have already been negotiating with each other since before.
