Another One Piece Film: Red poster has been released that shows off a new look for series protagonist Luffy.

Instead of wearing his typical gear, Luffy features an eccentric pirate hat and a leather jacket in the poster. He also seems to be responding to the previous poster, which featured a new female pirate challenging Luffy. Luffy states, “Wrong! I’m winning 183 times in a row!”

One Piece‘s next film will reportedly focus on the past of Shanks, the leader of the Red Hair Pirates and one of the Four Emperors. Shanks is an important part of the series lore as he inspired protagonist Monkey D. Luffy to become a pirate and gave him the straw hat that he now wears.

One Piece Film: Red is directed by Goro Taniguchi (Code Geass) with a script written by Kuroiwa Tsutomu. Manga creator Eiichiro Oda will serve as a producer and general supervisor. The film is set to premiere on August 6, 2022.
