The medley features the character Belle singing four different songs found in the film, including “U,” “Gales of Song,” “Lend Me Your Voice,” and “A Million Miles Away.” The Belle medley also includes various scenes from the film, and comes in both an English and French version, both of which are available to see below:

“Suzu is a shy, everyday high school student living in a rural village. For years, she has only been a shadow of herself. But when she enters ‘U,’ a massive virtual world, she escapes into her online persona as Belle, a gorgeous and globally-beloved singer,” says the official synopsis. “One day, her concert is interrupted by a monstrous creature chased by vigilantes. As their hunt escalates, Suzu embarks on an emotional and epic quest to uncover the identity of this mysterious ‘beast’ and to discover her true self in a world where you can be anyone.”

The anime film is the ninth project for Hosoda following his 2018 Oscar-nominated film Mirai. The film is packed to the brim with talent from all across the world, including Jin Kim, a character designer who has worked on classic Disney films like Frozen and Moana, and Eric Wong, a British architect who helped create the world of “U” in the film.
