Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase have plans to re-team for a new comedy, Aykroyd revealed today on his Facebook page.
âChevy (Chase) and I are about to start work on a script concept for a comedy movie,â he writes. âCannot say too much about the concept, but the joy of working with him again is one that I am extremely excited about. Chevy is one of my favourite people, and one of the great anarchistic and physically committed comedians in the business.â
Both comedians began their careers on âSaturday Night Liveâ and, over the years, have teamed for a number of film projects, including John Landisâ Spies Like Us and Aykroydâs sole directing credit, 1991âs Nothing But Trouble. Though that was their last teaming on the big screen, the pair both lent their voices to 2009 episode of âFamily Guyâ entitled âSpies Reminiscent of Us.â
At the moment, details are few as to what form the new Aykroyd/Chase project might take, but check back for information as it becomes available.
