CS Video Interviews: Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

When Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law first took on literary icons Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson back in 2009, audiences across the world took notice. The Arthur Conan Doyle adaptation grossed $524 million worldwide and fans were immediately clamoring for more big screen adventures. This Friday, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows arrives in theaters and proves that you can, indeed, go “Holmes” again.

With Guy Ritchie back in the director’s chair, “A Game of Shadows” brings to life one of the most popular literary villains of all time. Jared Harris joins the production as criminal mastermind Professor Moriarty, pulling strings on an international scale to a dangerous end that even Holmes himself can’t foresee. Joining forces with a Gypsy woman named Sim (Noomi Rapace) and Holmes’ own brother, Mycroft (Stephen Fry), Holmes and Watson set off on a race against time to figure out Moriarty’s final move before the die is cast.

ComingSoon.net sat down to speak with Downey, Harris, Rapace and Ritchie about their unique slant on the world’s most famous detective, the inspired casting of Holmes’ arch-nemesis and the potential directions that Holmes could head for a third adventure.
