Warner Bros. to Remake Sleepless Night

Though it isn’t scheduled for release in France until November, Warner Bros. already has plans to remake Sleepless Night (Nuit Blanche) for domestic release. The Hollywood Reporter has the story, saying that Roy Lee will produce the remake.

Directed by Frédéric Jardin, the original involves an undercover cop who winds up losing a bag of cocaine that he needs to pay the villainous owner or a nightclub in ransom for the release of his kidnapped son.

No stranger to English language remakes of foreign properties, Lee produced The Ring, The Grudge and The Departed, among others.
