Mark Steven Johnson Drives the Autobahn

Mark Steven Johnson has signed on to direct Autobahn for Inferno Entertainment, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter.

Written by Greg Russo, the high-concept storyline involves a former professional racecar driver who, after waking up in a car on Germany’s Autobahn, is told that his family is being held hostage and he has just 90 minutes until the car he’s in will detonate. If he’s not at an assigned target by then, they’ll be killed.

Johnson launched his career as a writer with Grumpy Old Men in 1993. He then made his directorial debut in 1998 with Simon Birch, before heading into two Marvel comic book properties, Daredevil and Ghost Rider. Most recently, he directed the Kristen Bell romantic comedy, When in Rome.
