Rockstar Debuts Red Dead Redemption Sequel Teaser Images

Yesterday, Rockstar Games uploaded a new image to all of their social media channels featuring a faded version of their famous logo. This lead many to believe the developer was teasing a new entry in the “Red Dead” game series and now Rockstar has released another image all but confirming the news.

In the image, seven silhouettes are seen against the skyline, and given that Rockstar’s last game (Grand Theft Auto V) saw players controlling three different characters, many are probably wondering if the Red Dead Redemption sequel will feature a similar playstyle. It’s also slightly coincidental that the remake of The Magnificent Seven is still playing in theaters.

Rockstar took a similar approach five years ago when announcing Grand Theft Auto V, rolling out short teases for a week before finally revealing the full product that Friday, meaning we can probably expect a full announcement later this week.

The western video game series began back in 2004 with Red Dead Revolver, which went on to sell over 1.1 million copies worldwide. It was followed by the even more popular sequel, Red Dead Redemption, in 2010 that sold over 6.5 million copies worldwide and received many “Game of the Year” awards.
