The American Scream is the latest documentary from director Michael Paul Stephenson, following his critically acclaimed Best Worst Movie.  The film is a touching documentary that follows three Halloween-obsessed households as they transform their homes into neighbor-terrifying supernatural wonderlands.  Endless styrofoam tombstones and backyard beasts come courtesy of a few supremely dedicated local “home haunters” who’ve devoted their lives to the art of handmade monster-making.

The screening at The Cinefamily on October 13th will be the Los Angeles premiere of the film with an encore screening on October 14.  Both Los Angeles screenings will have director Michael Paul Stephenson in person to introduce the film and participate in post film Q&As.

The American Scream is an original documentary for NBCUniversal’s Chiller network; it will premiere on Chiller on October 28th at 8pm EST.  The film will also play at film festivals throughout October and November.  For information on the film and tickets please visit www.magicstoneproductions.com.
